Professional and Educational Background

Dr. Steve Call, a licensed Clinical Psychologist, obtained his BS from the University of Washington, his Masters degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, his Masters degree in Counseling and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Call has worked in outpatient mental health settings and has been in private practice for 15 years.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Call is an Associate Professor of Counseling at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology where he teaches adolescent and child therapy, marriage and family, couples counseling and family systems.

Therapeutic Philosophy

Dr. Call’s clinical work is primarily with adolescents, adults and couples. He utilizes a family systems perspective in his work, which pays attention to how past relational patterns and experiences impact current relational patterns. The hope of therapy is to help facilitate growth and change that creates a sense of relief from the current struggle, tension, and/or conflict one may be experiencing. In his therapeutic work with couples, Dr. Call utilizes EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) which provides couples the opportunity to better understand and work through the problems, conflict, and tension they may be experiencing.

Dr. Call enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to fly fish, compete in triathlons and coach high school basketball.
