Professional and Educational Background

Dr. Nahid Markosian received her B.S. from Brown University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She completed her clinical internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and her post-doctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at the West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Dr. Markosian conducts neuropsychological evaluations in order to identify the cognitive and behavioral changes associated with medical and psychological conditions. She works with individuals and their families to provide information and support, teach compensatory strategies, and manage problems that arise as a result of brain injuries or illnesses. She has a special interest in working with older individuals experiencing cognitive and behavioral changes.

Dr. Markosian also provides psychotherapy for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and life changes.

Personal Information

Dr. Markosian moved to Bellingham in 1998 with her husband, Ned, and their children. She particularly enjoys cooking and exploring the Northwest, as well as reading books and watching movies.
